Jessi’s Work


Jessi Bloom is an award-winning ecological landscape designer, best selling author and speaker.  She owns NW Bloom EcoLogical Landscapes, based near Seattle WA, which is known as being an innovator and leader in the field of permaculture, sustainable landscape design, construction and land management.  She is committed to teaching and empowering others, currently working on her 3rd book, which will help people create their own sacred space for health and happiness.

Jessi’s work has gotten attention by National media: printed in publications such as NY Times, Better Homes & Gardens, Fine Gardening Magazine, Martha Stewart Living, and UTNE Reader. She has also been featured on PBS’s Growing a Greener World TV & regularly speaks onstage for Mother Earth News, Sunset Magazine and DISNEY World in 2015 as a voice for ecological gardening and sustainable living.

Numerous awards and recognition have been presented to Jessi’s work for sustainable practices from institutions including the Washington State Department of Ecology, the American Horticultural Society, Pacific Horticulture magazine, the Washington State Nursery and Landscape Association, and the Washington Association of Landscape Professionals.

When she is not helping others with their gardens, traveling or writing, she enjoys the outdoors: snowboarding, hiking, running, biking and stays strong with Olympic weightlifting.  She lives near Seattle with her two sons on their permaculture homestead full of beautiful, functional gardens and rescue animals.
